Palm Beach Shores, Florida – Twenty-four migrants landed in Palm Beach Springs on Tuesday in what the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Miami division called a “maritime smuggling incident.”
according to a tweet Chief Patrol Special Agent Walter N. Slosar said the landing occurred in the morning.
The migrants arrived on a 33-foot boat, Sloza said.
Authorities detained the migrants, Sloza said.
It’s yet another dangerous journey for Haitian migrants to sail to Florida.
79 Haitian migrants intercepted on a sailboat in Lake Worth earlier this month.
