Tamarack, FL — A green-and-white yacht turned blue, and now a Broward County deputy may have some explaining to do, as officials struggled to rescue his or her cruiser from Lake Tamarack on Wednesday.
A sheriff accidentally left the car in neutral, causing it to fall into the water, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Claudine Caro.
According to a witness, the cruiser entered the lake behind a golf course in the 6500 block of North University Avenue near him.
Sky 10 flew over the scene, with two tow trucks on standby and a police diver in the water trying to lanyard the patrol car.
No injuries were reported.
