BSO: ‘I’ll light up the whole school,’ says dad after carrying gun on campus

Lake Lauderdale, Florida. – A 27-year-old father was arrested after taking a gun to his daughter’s school in Lake Lauderdale, authorities said.

A student and Khalid Webb-Bryan’s daughter had been arguing for weeks, and Webb-Bryan confronted the student about the incident on Jan. 12, according to an arrest report from the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

According to the student, she had just left Central Charter School at 4515 N. State Road 7 and was waking up in the parking lot of a nearby gas station when Webb-Bryan called her to his car.

Deputies said Webb-Bryan asked the girl why he was “bossing” his daughter and began swearing at her.

The victim told deputies she then saw Webb-Bryan holding a pistol, which he handed to his daughter, who then placed it on the seat between herself and the center console.

The victim told deputies that Webb-Bryan then asked her what car her mother was driving, but she refused to tell him and he drove away.

The girl told her mother what happened when she got home.

A few days later, on Jan. 17, Webb-Bryan saw the girl’s mother on the school’s playing field after track practice and asked her if there was a problem, according to the arrest report.

“Yes, you cursed my daughter,” the woman said she told him.

The woman told Deputy Webb-Bryan and then told her, “I don’t give a ****. I’ll light up the whole school for my mom’s daughter,” and told her to call her “baby daddy” and he would “dot Light up his ass”.

The woman’s daughter reportedly stood behind her mother before seeing Webb-Bryan pull a black pistol from his pants pocket, frame it and put it back in the pocket.

The mother told authorities she also saw him put the gun back in his pocket and asked him, “What, you have a gun?” He replied, “Yes, I have a permit to carry it.”

The woman told him he couldn’t brandish a gun unless there was a threat, and he told her, “I don’t care,” deputies said.

The mother then reportedly pulled out her phone to take pictures of Webb-Bryan and his car, as he called her a “snit a** b****” and left the school.

He was taken into custody Jan. 18 on charges of possessing a firearm on school property.
