BSO searches for suspected shooter in North Lauderdale; 1 victim airlifted to hospital

Lake Lauderdale, Florida. (WSVN) – Deputies are now looking for a suspect after a bullet flew outside a convenience store in South Florida.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene in the NW 62nd Street and 19th Square area Tuesday afternoon and found a man shot.

The shooting happened outside a one-stop food convenience store across from some apartments.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene, and no one seemed to agree on the exact number of gunshots they heard.

Witnesses did agree that they saw a white car parked in front of the store and a man on a bicycle pulled up in front of the vehicle before the shots fired.

The BSO has not yet confirmed those details.

One person was shot dead, according to the deputies.

7Skyforce circled the scene as Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived and deputies attended to victims.

The victim was eventually airlifted to Broward General Hospital.

A cordon has been established in the area to search for the shooter, and Bailey Road and State Highway 7 have been closed to traffic.
