Orange County Fire Rescue crews were called to the scene of a blaze that had gutted a home west of Orlando Monday night.
On Twitter, fire rescue officials said firefighters responded to reports of a blaze that appeared to emanate from behind a house on Grassmere Lane. By 9:30 p.m., firefighters had the fire out.
#HouseFire Crews are at the scene of a house fire on GRASSMERE LN. Initial units reported flames coming from the Charlie side of the home. None of the occupants were reported to be in the building. The home near Silver Star Road suffered extensive damage, including flames that burned through the roof of the home.
OCFR said no one living in the house was present when the fire broke out. The family is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
