Fort Lauderdale, Florida. (WSVN) – A rabies alert has been issued for parts of Fort Lauderdale.
On Tuesday, a feral cat tested positive.
The Florida Department of Health in Broward County issued an alert.
Areas of focus include:
- Sunrise Avenue North
- Zhonghe to the west
- Middle River to the East
- Middle River Drive south
Officials warned people to keep pets on a leash and not approach wild animals.
