Kobe Brown earns state honors in Missouri Tigers big game vs. Illinois

One of Bryant Brown’s best games in a Missouri uniform earned him National Player of the Week honors.

Brown named Root Olsen’s Player of the Week for his play A 31-point performance against the top-ranked team at the time. 16 Illinois Last week in St. Louis.

The scoring was a career high, as was Brown and his eight assists. Brown also had five rebounds and four steals in the 93-71 victory.

The 31 points were the most by a Missouri player in a Braggin’ Rights game.

The win improved Missouri to 11-1 and the Tigers face No. 19 Kentucky on Wednesday at the Missouri Arena. Missouri also received votes in the latest AP Top 25.

Brown, a 6-7 senior, averaged 14.4 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds. He also made 44.4 percent of his 3-pointers.
