Wilson Cherry, 37, is being held without bail. The suspect faces charges of sexual assault and lewd exposure to a girl under the age of 16.
Official records show that Cherry allegedly entered the girl’s bedroom while she was sleeping on September 20 and began to have sexual relations with the minor.
According to case documents, the victim woke up and pushed Cherry, before hiding in the bathroom and texting her sister.
The records also indicate that the administrators of the high school attended by the alleged victim were notified of the assault and contacted his mother.
According to the investigations, on December 17, the mother of the aforementioned victim found messages between Cherry and her daughter in which she realized that the girl was running away from home to have “friendly conversations.”
According to the arrest report, in a message Cherry would have told the minor that “you were afraid to hug me like I was going to bite you. I should come back and bite you.”
Cherry was arrested Monday in Palm Beach County and transferred to face justice in Miami-Dade County.
Court documents reveal the man is being held without bail for the assault and a $200,000 bond on the lewd charge.
