BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with the November murder of a young woman on Interstate 95.
Jahkobi Williams, 21, was taken into custody on Thursday night.
The sheriff’s office said the shooting occurred around 9 p.m. on Nov. 27 on southbound I-95 between the Sunrise Boulevard and Broward Boulevard exits.
The two victims — Ana Estevez, 23, and another man, who has not been named — were shot while driving on the interstate. Estevez succumbed to his injuries.
A third victim in another vehicle – a girl – was also shot but survived.
Williams is in the Broward County Jail, facing one count of first-degree murder with a firearm and attempted first-degree murder with a firearm.
