Miami – People from all over the country come to South Florida to party year round and New Years Eve is no exception.
Celebrities are especially fond of the area and Magic City, and they’re flocking this weekend to party and get everyone ringing in the New Year.
Local 10 News’ entertainment reporter Alexis Frazier interviews one of the greatest artists yet to come.
‘The Boss’ Rick Ross is one of this year’s headliners Funk Festival.
It’s a two-day New Year’s celebration.
“It’s the biggest boss in the game, Ricky Rozay, and it’s going down, and this Funk Fest is going to be one of the books,” Ross said. “You know, as long as I’m home, you’ll have surprises.”
Funk Fest has been held in various cities for over 20 years, and this year it will take over the Miami-Dade County Fair and Expo Center.
It’s a mix of old and new R&B and hip-hop artists the whole family can enjoy, such as Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton and Lauryn Hill.
on Miami Beach, Hotel Fontainebleau A New Year’s Eve party is being held.
This year’s lineup includes DJ and record producer Marshmello and Grammy-nominated singer Khalid.
“We’re known for hosting one of the largest and best New Year’s Eve galas in the country,” said Josh Herman, vice president of marketing for Fontainebleau. “Whether it’s Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga, or Doja Cat, or this year’s collaboration with Khalid, it’s really just a great party, right by our pool, just steps from the ocean.”
For the first time, Fontainebleau will have a floating stage above the pool, allowing guests to enjoy the show up close.
“Our New Year’s Eve party really has something for everyone,” says Herman. “Whether you’re a family we have a great family area and our adult section and variety of tables are still available.”
In Broward County, former Miami Heat superstar and part-time DJ Shaquille O’Neal, also known as DJ Diesel, will host this New Year’s Eve show at DAER. Dar Inside the Guitar Hotel at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.
“The evening will be a masquerade themed and guests will be greeted with their own masquerade masks so they can enjoy the night of masquerade,” said Will Clark, Hard Rock Nightlife marketing director. , we actually have one ticket that gives you access to all three venues, DAER Nightclub, DAER Dayclub and Rooftop Live, as well as the bar that is open from 9pm until midnight.”
