SAO PAULO.- one of the daughters of Pele said on Wednesday that both she and her family are going through moments of sadness and despair, almost a month after the great former Brazilian soccer player was hospitalized and without the doctors having revealed any indication of improvement.

The 82-year-old Pele’s cancer has progressed, and doctors at Albert Einstein Hospital recently said the three-time World Cup-winning star is undergoing a “specialized care”, in relation to their “kidney and heart dysfunctions”.

Pelé was admitted to that clinic in Sao Paulo on November 29.. The hospital has not released any new information about his health in the past week.

“These moments are hard to explain. Sometimes there is much sadness and despair. At other times we laugh and talk about funny memories,” she wrote. “And what we learn the most from all of that is that we have to look out for each other and stay close. Only then is everything worth it, with everyone together”.
