UF women lose at home to Tennessee

GAINESVILLE – The host Florida women’s basketball team (11-3) despite Albert Rimdahl scoring a career-high 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field, along with five assists and three rebounds. Lost to Tennessee 77-67 on Thursday night in their SEC opener.

Dean of KK Contributed 16 points and 5 steals Nina Richards Added 11 points.

Tennessee improved to 9-6.

“It’s been so much fun to be back in the SEC,” Gators coach Kelly Ray Finley said. “We put in a huge effort and we had a fantastic audience tonight and I need to give a shout out and thank everyone who was able to. The support was outstanding and really changed our game. Thank you to everyone who was able to see it for themselves.”

The Gators’ next game is Sunday at Texas A&M.
