WATCH: Pickpocket flabbergasted when locked inside, but no one can stop him

Lake Lauderdale, Florida. – A pickpocket walks into a store in Lauderdale Lakes. He chatted on his mobile phone for about 30 minutes while wandering the Rainbow clothing store. His plan was to rush out the front door with a bag full of clothes. But, to his surprise, employees had already locked the door that was about to close.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 3021 North State Road 7 in Rainbow. When the thief realized he was locked inside, deputies said he lost his cool and started kicking the door, dropping his clothes on the floor. He can be seen in the video frantically kicking the door in an attempt to break it and yelling at employees to open it.

When one of the employees was about to open the door to let him out, he realized he could unbolt the deadbolt himself and pushed the employee to the ground. However, he doesn’t leave his clothes behind. He grabbed what he could from the floor and left, jumping into a red truck waiting outside the store.

Video surveillance captured clear pictures of the thieves, who deputies said stole nearly $200 in merchandise.
